Overcoming Bad Habits with Healing Quotes
We all make mistakes, fall into ruts and develop bad habits over time. C.S. Lewis said that “The safest road to hell is the gradual one – the gentle slope, soft underfoot, without sudden turnings, without milestones, without signposts.” That’s how these bad habits form. They creep up onto us, and if we let them they eventually envelope our lives.
Now, of course there are a wide variety of bad habits and many degrees of how bad each of them are, but in order to overcome any bad habit we must be diligent in our practice. One thing that can help us overcome bad habits are healing quotes, which are quotes that resonant to our hearts and inspire us to be happier and better people in our lives. I would even consider the previous C.S. Lewis quote to be a healing quote because it is a great warning to have. A quote like that can help wake us up to a sense of what we need to change in our lives. Healing quotes aren’t the sole cure for conquering bad habits, but they can definitely be a fantastic tool to use.
